We invite applications to host the 2011 Intelligent Environments conference which will be held during the last two weeks of July 2011.
The application process is relatively straightforward, and comprises two simple steps. The first is to submit a short Expression of Interest (EOI) Form for Hosting an IE Conference form providing some details about you and your organisation. This form details the initial information we need to assess the suitability of your venue and team, as well as providing you with details of people on the IE steering group that you can contact to help you submit your application. In general terms the venue should be attractive and pleasant to visitors with easy access by public transport and be able to accommodate several hundred conference participants. Should the initial details you provide on the EOI form seem suitable for hosting an Intelligent Environments conference, as part of the second step, we will then send you another form in which you will be asked to provide greater detail on the venue and organisation, which would enable both the Intelligent Environments steering committee and your organization to come to a final decision (this two part process is designed to provide a quick and simple way for you to establish the viability of hosting the conference). Applications may be sent to any of the members of the IE Steering Committee detailed on the Expression of Interest Form.
In order to complete this process in time to make an announcement at IE10 (19-21 July 2010) about the location of IE11, we request that you submit the Expression of Interest Form for Hosting an IE Conference form before the the 1st April 2010 In the meantime, informal enquiries may be made to Vic Callaghan <vic@essex.ac.uk>,at the University of Essex, Colchester CO43SQ, United Kingdom telephone: +44 (0)1206 872682 or Achilles Kameas <kameas@cti.gr>, N.
